That will not work if you need a 6 channel volume control - as far as I can tell looking at the manual. What's your signal flow? How will you be using the DCX?

You might have a quick look at this article I wrote:

    Re: Behringer DCX2496 Ultradrive Pro

I've used 882s since they came out . Before that , I had used the Rane SM26 ? ( which the Behringer used as "inspiration" for their product ) .
IME, THE 882 is an eminently useful product .

Plugging into ( say channel #5 ) input , breaks the normal ( from the Main L,R input ) , & puts that signal through a portion of one dedicated 4880? chip ( which has a volume control on it ) and sends it back out to the #5 output ( after being buffered ) .

So, one can use the 882 as a 6-in / 6-out line-driver with individual level matching capacity ( as stated in the manual ).

Mind you, when setup like this one still does not get a single stereo ( ganged master ) knob that effects all these 6 output levels at the same time ( which I think is what Pano was pointing out before I opened up my yap ) .

Right Earl, that's exactly it. Too bad it does not have an overall master volume, it would be very handy if it did.

    Too bad, indeed. Thanks guys.
Opinion is only as valid as its verifiable supporting evidence.
